George Crawford says:
Isn't digital photography great fun?
I'm obsessed with the landscapes, seascapes and skies mainly of Scotland and France.
My favourite places are the Ayrshire coast of Scotland (where I live in an idyllic spot surrounded by hills, trees and the Firth of Clyde), Glasgow, the English Lake District, southern France, and Paris.
I often use my camera as a sketchbook for paintings - mostly watercolour and acrylic - but increasingly I'm resurrecting an early interest in photography in its own right.I use several cameras, but I mostly use my very lovely Nikon D300s, which has taken over from my Olympus SP500UZ and SP590UZ. I also keep a little Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ20 handy at all times.
My day job is in Computing and I enjoy being able to use software to alter photographs. I see the computer as just another artistic tool, making no apologies for altering reality, which photographers and painters have always done anyway.
Some useful sites: http://www.s1westkilbride.com/ an idyllic village in Ayrshire in the west of Scotland. (OK, I'm biased)!
